Please watch! This video was made with the intentions to help those in the Catholic community deal with the diagnosis of Trismoy 21. My friend "D" is the driving force behind this wonderful idea. She is a true HERO of mine:
Today at dance class Megan did not leave Sam's side. See Sam was crying because she got a splinter and her mom had left to run an errand which made her even more upset. Megan stood by Sam's side rubbing her back as me and another mom worked out the splinter. She was just so worried about her and she kept saying "Its k Sam". Megan melts my heart.
for the first time in a long time over "Down Syndrome". Olivia peed and pooped on the potty and ran out to the living room in complete excitement looking for Megan's approval. "I did it, I did it" When Olivia found Megan, the both of them rolled around on the couch hugging each other yelling YAY! It was precious. A Kodak moment that I failed to capture.
Now why I cried...I imagined in my head Olivia going to college and leaving Megan behind. How can they ever be separated? How will they deal with it? Then to imagine Olivia getting a job and getting married, will they grow apart? I try not to think this way. Joe gets mad I think this because he thinks Megan has all the same opportunities as Olivia. I just wish I were more optimistic.
ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf: Not too many people paid too much attention to the Louisiana Caucus on Wednesday. John McCain won and Ron Paul logged his second second place finish of the primary caucus season after his showing at the Nevada caucus last Saturday.
For Paul, R-Tex., Louisiana is really more of a third place finish since finishing ahead of the winner, John McCain, was "uncommitted pro-life."
But the Paul campaign says they got second place and maybe should have gotten first.
In a statement this afternoon, they allege that Paul supporters were forced to file provisional ballots even when they were pre-registered as delegates for Paul and they accuse the Louisiana Republican party of changing the rules at the last minute.
Paul campaign statement:
The failure of the Louisiana GOP to properly determine who was and wasn't eligible to vote threw this entire process into disarray," said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. "The party needs to correct this mistake by counting all the votes immediately, and releasing the results."
Due to mistakes by the Louisiana GOP, hundreds of voters were forced to file provisional ballots, including nearly 500 that could change the outcome of the election. According to party officials, caucus locations relied on a voter list from November 1, 2007 despite the fact that under caucus rules, voters must have registered Republican by November 30, 2007.
In multiple instances, state-certified Ron Paul delegates that were on the ballot were forced to file a provisional ballot despite the fact they were pre-approved as delegates.
The Louisiana State GOP also changed the rules at the last minute to allow other candidates to file more delegates. At the time of the original January 10 deadline, Ron Paul had the largest number of delegates pledged to him. The party then changed the rules to give other candidates until January 12 to file more delegates.
It's a confusing process in Louisiana and a trip to the Louisiana Republican Party does not clear things up. They don't even assign numerical totals to show how big the gap between places one and two and three were. In fact, at the website, a statement from party chairman Roger Villere Jr. only says Paul "appear to have captured the next highest number of delegate positions."
But Villere did praise Paul's supporters for having dash.
"I applaud the supporters of Congressman Paul for their enthusiasm and superior organizational ability. Our Party needs the infusion of new activists who have both political skill and a passion for protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution," he said. "I left the caucus with a renewed commitment to promote our core Republican principles of limited government and individual freedom, thanks to the zeal displayed by Congressman Paul's Louisiana supporters," Villere says on the website.
According to the website, more than 10,000 Louisana Republicans met yesterday to elect delegates to their state convention. Those delegates, led by those currently lobbying for uncommitted, will ultimately award delegates to candidates for the Republican National Convention.
ABC News tried to speak to an official representative of the Louisiana Republican party, but the phone number listed on the website http://www.lagop.com rings busy.
We went for Megan's 6 month check up with the Pulminologist at CHOP. When Megan was there we had an upper GI done and a chest x-ray. There was a spot on her liver and so the doctor wants us to follow up and recheck just in case although he believes it is nothing. So we will do that sometime soon, hopefully when my cast is off. Seems I have been mis-medicating my daughter and not following her breathing treatments properly. I have been giving Megan the albuterol inhales twice a day instead of the flovent....I am so mad at myself but the doctor insured I did nothing wrong. I still feel like a terrible mother though. So now we need to do the FLOVENT twice a day and albuterol for emergencies. UGH! The doc listened very carefully to her heart and ensured me he did not hear a murmur. I just wanted another doc to listen besides her ped to see what they hear. He believes she is fine and healthy since she is growing well. I know I worry and feel like I am waiting for a ball to drop sometimes....I just need to stop holding my breath and BE HAPPY that Megan is healthy. Sometimes the internet makes you worry for no reason, I think that is why I am keeping my distance these days.

There is a forum I belong to that has a thread right now entitled "Now and then" and all these people posted pics of their kids when they were babies and pics from today. I thought that was a fantastic idea and to make it more fun I thought I would tag some of my blogging friends to join me! So I will start:
Joey
Megan
Olivia
I tag for this: Michelle over at Big Blueberry Eyes
This week I have not blogged because we are all sick. Megan, Olivia and I all have runny noses and watery eyes. I am not sure about the girls but I have had a sinus headache for 3 days now and it is killing me. Olivia had a fever on Saturday and Sunday last weekend. I hope this weekend we get better so we can get back to our activities next week. I have been completely miserable.
I need to be 100% so that I can finish my training for precinct leader next week so I can start to gather signatures for my petition. We are working hard here in Bucks County PA for Ron Paul!
The next time you hear a politician use the Word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about Whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, But one advertising agency did a good job of Putting that figure into some perspective in One of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were Living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu , is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number, what does it mean?
A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you Each get $516,528.
B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family Gets $2,066,012.
Washington , D.C . HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken?? Tax his land, Tax his wage, Tax his bed in which he lays. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes is the rule. Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirts, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think. Tax his booze, Tax his beers, If he cries, Tax his tears. Tax his bills, Tax his gas, Tax his notes, Tax his cash. Tax him good and let him know That after taxes, he has no dough. If he hollers, Tax him more, Tax hi m until he's good and sore. Tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in which he lays. Put these words upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom!' And when he's gone, We won't relax, We'll still be after the inheritance TAX!! Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL License Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Perm it Tax Gasoline Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges (tax on top of tax), IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax), Liquor Tax, Luxury Tax, Marriage License Tax, Medicare Tax, Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, Service charge taxes, Social Security Tax, Road Usage Tax (Truckers), Sales Taxes, Recreational Vehicle Tax, School Tax, State Income Tax, State Unemployment Tax (SUTA), Telephone Federal Excise Tax, Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax, Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Tax, Telephone Minimum Usage Su rcharge Tax, Telephone Recurring and Non-recurring Charges Tax, Telephone State and Local Tax, Telephone Usage Charge Tax, Utility Tax, Vehicle License Registration Tax, Vehicle Sales Tax, Watercraft Registration Tax, Well Permit Tax, Workers Compensation Tax.
STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, And our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'
And I still have to 'press 1' for English.
I hope this goes around THE USA at least 100 times
What the heck happened????? Paul Douglas "Doug" Davis
Here are some of the things she has said lately that has blown me out of the water:
1) Just tonight which made me want to blog: "Mommy Joey wants some drink" and she handed me a cup so I filled it with ice tea and handed it to Joey, I said Joey did you want this, he said no...I told him to thank Megan and she responded..."your welcome Joey now drink sum more" ROFLMBO
2) She sang w/o help this morning "3 little monkey's swinging in a tree, teasing mister alligator, you can't catch me.....(a little mumbling of the rest of the words)...SNAP"
3) Olivia was messing with the cotton balls this morning and I told her to pick them up, she said NO, so I took her hand and put them on the cotton balls to pick up...Olivia got frustrated and yelled, so Megan said...."so ridiculous" ROFLMBO
4) At dance class, I could hear the teacher correcting Megan...when class ended I walked in to the room and Megan responded..."can we get chicken french fries now" Dance class is right next door to Wendy's...I think I know why she likes dance so much now.
5) "Where'd Goofy go, I need work"....she meant I need help working on my puzzle....she loves her goofy doll.
6) All we do is talk about Ron Paul in our household. We have a pile of lawn signs. Megan opened the closet pulled one out and chanted "Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul"....I do have it on tape...I will have to upload and post it.
I will post more when I hear it! Do you see a theme here when she talks? She is always cracking me up! I think I have a comedian on my hands!
I so wish it was catching on quicker. I am happy with his showing in IA and NH but am worried that he may not get the nomination. Ron Paul is needed BADLY for the US. We are suffering here. We are ALL in debt, we will not all have social security when we retire and we are in a hush hush recession. Unemployment hit an all time high of 5%.
Please watch this....very scary.
Please watch the SC debate tonight on Fox. I am still wondering why Fox is having Paul included (since he was left out in NH)....watch and see if they try and poke fun at him again. They (Fox and other candidates) have no respect.
So we decided to go to Great Wolf Lodge again since we had so much fun last year. The girls had a blast and I know when we tell them they will freak out, they watch the videos all the time! We are also letting Joey bring a friend since it was hard for us to go on slides with him having the girls. So yeah for Mathieu! He chose you! We booked the Cabin Suite. It has a separate kids bunk bed room so we will have some peace and quite. We will be going in March for Joey's b-day. Check out some pictures:
My little Olivia is growing up and maturing so fast. Mommies little girl went to go get her first hair cut today. I decided not to cut bangs awhile ago on her because she has a narrow face. Her new little bob makes her look like a lil' Meg Ryan. The pictures from the hair dresser are on my phone so when I figure out how to put them on the computer I will show you. But here she is when she got home. She is also starting with potty training and has done well the past 2 days. She was dry this morning so I sat her on her potty in front of the TV with her sippy cup and she filled the entire thing to the brim LOL So: Potty Training Hair Cut No more binky! The horse she is holding in the picture is her new present she picked out today for being such a big girl.
So it looks like we are in the home stretch with Olivia. She has been without her binky for 3 nights and today is her 4th day. She has stopped asking for it so far today which is a good sign. Yesterday she said "my binky now"....I said, "I am sorry Olivia the New Year's Rabbit brought it to a new baby"....she responded with "no baby my binky"....she is too cute! We told her New Year's Eve that the new Year Rabbit would be taking her binky's to a new baby and that she was a big girl in the New Year (we came up with a Rabbit cause she loves them THANKS JAMIE). She was not happy and the past three nights have been difficult but we made it through. Me and Joe talked about it last night before bed and he confessed he would have given in if it were not for me. I did have to get up with her a lot because she was over tired and looking for her binky. But so happy to say I believe we are BINKY FREE IN 2008 ALREADY!
