I am feeling upset with friends and family right now. I sent out an email with my blog site asking people to respond and read. I got 2 responses out of hundreds.
Do you all not see a problem with this?
You can leave a response on my blog w/o leaving your name or filling out any info. So why is it so difficult? Are you all not willing to give up seeing this trash? Are you one of those who thinks I am an over reacting mother?

Maybe you didn't see the tag line of the movie "Once upon a time.....there was a retard" or this part of the script:
Stiller: There were times when I was doing Jack when I actually felt retarded. Like really retarded.

Downey: Oh yeah. Damn.

Stiller: In a weird way, I had to sort of just free myself up to believe that it was okay to be stupid or dumb.

Downey: To be a moron.

Stiller: Yeah.

Downey: To be moronical.

Stiller: Exactly.

Downey: An imbecile.

Stiller: Yeah. When I was playing a character.

Downey: When you was a character.

Stiller: Yeah, I mean, as Jack. Definitely.

Downey: It’s like working with mercury. It’s how science makes art form.

Stiller: Yeah.

Downey: You an artist

Stiller: It's what we do right?

Downey: Everyone knows you don't do a full retard.

Stiller: What do you mean?

Downey: Check it out, Dustin Hoffman, Rainman, look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Count tooth picks to your cards. Autistic. Sure. Not Retarded.

You know, Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump. Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe.
Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off of Nixon and he won a ping pong competition? That ain't retarded.

You went full retard man. You never go full retard.

EITHER WAY THIS MOVIE CROSSES THE LINE. I NEED YOU ALL TO RESPOND SO I KNOW YOU NOT ONLY SUPPORT ME BUT YOU CARE ENOUGH TO FIGHT RIGHT ALONG SIDE ME BY MAKING EVERYONE YOU KNOW AWARE OF THIS ATROSITY.

This disgusts me! I have shared this with some of my co workers in hopes they too will boycott this film. The entire industry should be ashamed of this script and the studio that would make it!!!

Stephanie,
Hi, I'm Julia. I have 4 daughters and my 5 year old (the oldest) has Down syndrome. I found your site through Michelle. I hope you don't mind? I saw your post. It was the first I had heard of it. And I was SO glad I read it. So then I posted the information on our site and got maybe 2 comments. I was shocked. The script made me so mad I couldn't figure out why my friends and family weren't up in arms and commenting like mad. I still don't know why. But at least we posted it and now they know. Did you see that the Shivers and Special Olympics joined the boycott? Timothy Shriver is going to talk to Congress about making the "R" word hate language. Maybe things will start to change.

You have my full support. I don't have a child with DS, but I love two such special people with all of my heart. One is 3 months old and the other is 18 years old. They are both a true joy in my life...I am richer because of them.

I somehow got linked to your blog from another blogsite. I am upset after reading your blog. I can't believe that you sent out an e-mail asking your family and friends to support you and they didn't! What is wrong with them? I am NOT seeing that worthless movie and would NOT see it if it was free, nor am I letting my two kids see it. I can not believe that some Hollywood person had a brain and made the movie. It is a very hurtful movie. We have enough problems in the world without Hollywood telling us it is ok to make fun of people and making us pay to see people do it. People think it is ok to make fun of people until they have a family member that it affects than it is all wrong. Making fun of people just because they are different is NEVER right. People are different but all deserve to be treared equally and fairly like God made us. As far as I know and am concerned, I am not to judge because there is only ONE judge in the world and that is God. For me to judge would be saying that I am able to do His work and I am not. But making a movie where you amke fun of people is WRONG. DON'T SEE THE MOVIE!!! Give your money to research or to the homeless or to your church, but DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO SEE THE MOVIE!! I am sorry for my venting but that movie is so WRONG in ALL ASPECTS!! You have my total 100% support!! DO NOT SEE THE MOVIE!! There is NOTHING RIGHT ABOUT the movie!
Thanks for taking the time to read my long blog...once I get started I can't stop!
Best of luck to you and your family.
