So this morning we spent painting our pumpkins. I told the girls last night before bed and so this morning they came to wake me and remind me at 7:00am. Yesterday we had to buy new paint because my girls like to paint and waste it.
So this morning was no differnet. I use old egg boxes for the paint. It makes it easier to mix the paint and since we buy a dozen and a half size eggs I can cut it in half and give each girl their own paint tray.
They covered their pumpkins in tons of paint enough to keep them warm in this cold chilly weather. We will carve our big pumpkins next week a few days before Halloween while we watch Charlie Brown's "The Great Pumpkin"...
Here is a full table view. If you notice one of our big pumpkins in the background. I picked it out yesterday and it was not vertical like that, I swear, LOL....Joe, my husband can carve that one.

that looks like so much fun......btw...where did you get the chairs the girls are using?
One Step Ahead
I have a coupon code for 15% off if you want to order them.
ha ha I was going to ask the same thing about the chairs! I will have to look them up! Cute pictures too :)
Looks like fun.
I love this idea! I don't know why we've never done it! In fact, I think we'll give it a try!
Thanks for the inspiration.
xo
Great post! You know I have to take the girls to the patch on Monday and I think we'll do little ones with paint instead of big ones to carve! I like it!
Wow, the pumpkins look awesome! How fun!
We painted ours last year- and yeah, enough paint to keep them warm!
Cute pictures. and great pumpkin picking for you!
I like the egg carton paint holder idea
Good sshare
